You’ll have to be double vaxxed to keep your job with the city.
Officials with Halifax Regional Municipality announced Thursday they will require proof of vaccination from all employees.
The details of the policy are still being nailed down, but anyone employed by the municipality will have to show they’ve received two doses of vaccine by Dec. 15.
Anyone who does not, without an approved exemption, will face “employment consequences.” That includes being put on unpaid leave.
It will also become a condition of employment before new staff are hired.
They said the full details of the policy will be released soon.
