Nova Scotia is home to an incredibly rich military history so we take remembrance day pretty seriously. Here are all of the places in and around the Halifax Regional Municipality where you can attend Remembrance Day celebrations.
Halifax
Halifax Citadel
The Citadel is open to all with no entry fee from 10am to 2pm. The ceremony begins at 11am with a 21-gun salute.
Point Pleasant Park
A ceremony will be held at 10:45 along Sailors Memorial Way at 10:45am
Hammonds Plains
The Hammonds Plains Remembrance Day ceremony will be taking place at the Hammonds Plains Cenotaph on Crestfield Drive at 10:30am.
Dartmouth
Sullivan’s Pond
This year, Halifax’s usual Remembrance Day ceremony at Grand Parade has been moved to Sullivan’s Pond in Dartmouth, where the activities of both annual ceremonies will be combined. It begins at 10:30am.
Bedford
Fish Hatchery Park
The ceremony begins at 10:45 in Fish hatchery Park
Sackville
Lower Sackville
The Sackville Cenotaph ceremony on Memory Lane will begin at 10:45
