Police say a stolen vehicle has been recovered after being abandoned behind Cole Harbour Place in Dartmouth.
Officers spotted the car over the weekend and believed it had been reported stolen several days earlier.
When police attempted to pull the driver over, the vehicle took off at a high speed. Officers say they did not pursue due to public safety concerns but observed the car heading toward Cole Harbour. About 30 minutes later, an RCMP officer located the vehicle parked behind Cole Harbour Place, but the driver had already left the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
