The blood clinic on Bayers Road will reopen Tuesday after shutting down over a “water issue”.
Nova Scotia Health says the closure affected about 500 patients and was due to a wastewater blockage that staff became aware of on Thursday.
“Despite best efforts, plumbers have not been immediately able to clear the blockage. This means more robust equipment was required Monday, March 16,” said the email.
There was no damage to the building or any equipment.
Patients were asked to rebook or go to another site.
The clinic has adjusted its schedule to help manage patient volumes once it reopens.
Fewer booths will also be available which may lead to longer wait times.
