A popular diner in Woodside has to shut down for two to three weeks after a weekend fire destroyed part of the strip mall they are in.
An abandoned old Sobeys on Pleasant Street went up in flames, late Saturday night.
The Pleasant Street diner says in a Facebook post, the cleanup process is extensive and there may be lingering toxins.
“A team experienced in fire restoration will be working on site for the next while. The safety of our staff and customers is paramount,” says the post.
“This is just a blip, one of the few we’ve encountered over the years. Through all of the this, you the customer has stood by us. We appreciate your patience and support.”

This Pleasant Street Diner was the set of a television shoot, just last week.
