Mandatory water restrictions lifted for all Lake Major customers

Halifax Water’s source supply has started to recover after months of low levels and mandatory conservation measures.

Customers serviced by Lake Major will return to voluntary restrictions effective immediately.

As of now, the lakes water levels have increased by 70 centimetres due to recent rain and snow fall.

Water supplies are being monitored, and Halifax Water remains optimistic that more precipitation over the winter months will provide enough flow to fully recharge lakes across the region.
