RCMP are looking for more details after an intense couple of hours in the Halifax area early Saturday afternoon, while police were on the hunt for an armed and dangerous man.
Multiple emergency alerts were sent out starting at around 11:30 a.m., until the suspect was taken into custody just after 1:30 p.m.
He was seen with the firearm in the Oldham Road area possibly changing from a white t-shirt, grey hoodie and/or a bright orange shirt.
He is described as 5-foot-9 and 180 pounds with long blonde hair and he has neck and facial tattoos.
Police say that he was in the Enfield/Elmsdale area between 9:30 a.m. and 1:10 p.m.
At this point, there are no reports of shots fired, but there’s a heavy police presence while officers investigate.
