It’s been horrific to watch the wildfires take over California.
Canada has stepped up, sending help where we can
Emergency Preparedness Minister Harjit Sajjan announced that 60 firefighters from Alberta and British Columbia are set to deploy as early as today.
Quebec is also playing a crucial role by sending two more firefighting aircraft, despite a recent incident where one of its water bombers collided with a drone while combating the flames
I'm not a pilot but I have to imagine that you have to be an absolute BADASS to skim the water in what is basically a flying tank, over and over all day long, and do it with the accuracy it takes to scoop up 1,000+ gallons of water and not have an accident.
