It all began Friday when Shubenacadie Sam predicted an ‘early Spring’. And, from pretty much that moment on, it was all downhill as the province got hit with one of its biggest snow storms in recent memory.
Here’s how things looked over the weekend:
White knuckle drive to Halifax 4hr trip took 6hrs. A total of 11 cars in the ditch at least 2 or them not long after they overtook us. Whiteout conditions at times couldn’t see the end of the car, thick snow on the road, then really icy sections for many kms. #nsstorm pic.twitter.com/iwbGnvgdpN

Stormy conditions persist in Cape Breton today, and will continue into Monday. Another 30-50cm of snow is expected in the Sydney area by the time the storm ends. #NSStorm #CapeBreton #EastlinkCommunityTV pic.twitter.com/6yvC4bHlIE
