Antigonish’s Rhyah Stewart is off to a great start at the U18 Women’s World Hockey Championships.
She stopped 23 shots as Canada beat Czechia 8-1 on Sunday to improve to 2-0 at the tournament.
Stewart was named Player of the Game for Team Canada.
Cape Sable Island’s Jessica MacKinnon got an assist, her second point of the tournament.
Canada’s next game is against Finland on Tuesday afternoon.
The tournament is being held in Switzerland.
