RCMP add Jessie Morrissey to missing persons rewards program

The RCMP have added another name to the rewards program for unsolved cases.

Jessie Morrissey was 26-years-old when he took a drive in his Jeep Patriot on February 13, 2022, and was never seen or heard from again. The vehicle was found abandoned on a snowmobile trail in the Springhill area.

Investigators believe that there are people with information about his disappearance who have not come forward yet.

“We hope that by adding Mr. Morrissey’s name to the rewards program we will receive new information that could help this case,” said Brad Johns, Attorney General and Minister of Justice. “A family is waiting and hoping for answers. I urge you to come forward if you think you have information that might help solve this missing person case.”

Anyone who shares information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for Mr. Morrissey’s disappearance could receive up to $150,000 through the Province’s Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes program. People with information should call the program at 1-888-710-9090, or if they prefer to remain anonymous, they can call Crime Stoppers of Nova Scotia at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
