Wildfires continue to burn in Nova Scotia. Initial reports have over 200 structures and hoes destroyed by the fires around the Hammonds Plains/ Tantallon area. Over 16,000 have been evacuated from their homes.
There is another wildfire burning south of Halifax in Shelburne County as well.
Our friends at Good Fellas Stoves and Chimney‘s have stepped up to manage a GoFundMe raising money for the pets and animals displaced by the Tantallon Wildfires.
Dog trainer Lisa Parsons ran from Larry Uteck to Pampered Paws Inn to rescue 18 dogs amid a wildfire evacuation order after being told, "If they're humans, we have buses. If they're dogs, it is what it is." #NSFire #TantallonFire pic.twitter.com/RVDypEwrmD
