Hailing from Pictou County, Altered by Mom first formed in 2015.
They then released their first album just one year later entitled “Body Feels Weird.” Followed by “52 Songs”, their second release in 2020. Lead singers Gina Kelly and Devon Lougheed are currently working and will be releasing their third album this summer. That new album will feature their upcoming single “Dive In” which is set to be released January 20th with a music video to follow just a week later.
Side note, their music videos are awesome and hilarious. Case in point, check out “Blind” (as heard on Sully on Surge 105) here.
Their sound is a mix of July Talk and Paramore with a hint of Metric, but as mentioned on the air, we feel like there’s a dash of Monowhales tossed in to that beautiful concoction as well.
