Police have named the young boy killed in a shooting at the intersection of Windmill Road and Waddell Avenue in Dartmouth Tuesday.
Lee-Marion Cain died in hospital after the car he was riding in was hit by gunfire from another.
The driver, an unnamed 26-year-old man, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Constable John MacLeod, HRP Public Information Officer, made a public call-out for information Wednesday afternoon.
He asked anyone who knows anything about shooting, no matter how small, to get in touch with the police.
MacLeod also described the suspects in the crime, two black men driving a burgundy SUV with tinted windows.
He said officers do not believe this was a random attack.
