Morning Surge host Jeff Brown has been livid since he ordered his couch from Ikea two weeks ago. Due to a supply shortage from the container ship backup at the ports of Los Angeles, he claims the colour that he wanted for his living room set was not available. He had to settle for a red floral loveseat instead of a nice heather grey sectional.
Due to this, he is very upset with the shipping industry as a whole. It doesn’t end there though. Following a fire on a container ship last week another boat is in the news today for all the wrong reasons – yet again.
A container ship near Vancouver Island – just off the coast of British Columbia – was hit Tuesday by some rough weather and lost 106 containers into the ocean. What was in those containers you ask? Well, they were all full of heather grey sectionals. Seriously!
Not seriously.
We have no clue what was in them, aside from Jeff’s hopes and dreams. On a side note, but definitely most importantly, nobody was hurt in the mishap.
