A Dartmouth man is facing animal cruelty charges after a months-long investigation into the death of a cat.
SPCA Enforcement Officers responded to a call about a dead cat at a Halifax home on Sept. 2, 2021.
After an investigation, including a search warrant and necropsy on the animal, officers charged Daviyaun Michael Nathanyal Talbot, 20, Thursday.
Talbot is charged with willfully and without lawful excuse to killing, maiming, wounding, poisoning or injuring a cat and with causing distress to a cat.
