It’s a Christmas home-coming for about 250 crew onboard the HMCS Fredericton.
The ship is returning to Halifax on Saturyday after a six-month deployment in the North Atlantic and northern European waters.
The mission had its challenges as a fire broke out onboard the vessel in November.
The frigate lost power when the fire broke out during intense weather conditions.
It had to be docked for repairs but they were able to finish the mission.
No injuries were reported.
