Police found Alexander Joseph Frederick Thomas dead in a Dartmouth home on November 13.
Thomas was arrested last year after Carrie Low reported she had been abducted outside a Dartmouth bar in 2018 and sexually assaulted by at least two men.
He was set to return to court in November on charges of sexual assault and forcible confinement.
