If you have an active membership to a recreation facility in HRM, you will be able to get into another facility at a discounted rate thanks to a new pilot program.
The city says “One Membership” allows eligible members to receive a 75 per cent discount on day pass rates when visiting a facility that is not their home location.
It includes annual, paid-in-full or ongoing monthly, bi-weekly or roll-over memberships.
You just need to check in at the front desk.
The motion was first tabled by Council in 2024 and brought back in February 2025 by Councillor Sam Austin and approved in January 2026.
Staff will monitor how much it gets used, financial impacts and member experience to then return the data to Council along with recommendations in late 2027.
