The Best Buy located on Washmill Lake Drive in Halifax was robbed on Saturday, February 21 shortly after 11 a.m.
Halifax Regional Police say a man entered the store, took over $1,000 worth of merchandise, threatened an employee with a knife, and fled the store on foot.
The employee was not physically harmed.
A 42-year-old man was arrested a short distance away.
He is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court at a later date.
The man faces the following charges:
• Robbery
• Possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace
• Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
• Possession of stolen property under $5000
