With schools closed over the last couple of days after a snowstorm hammered most areas of the province, many wanted to get out of the house.
Citadel Hill was a popular spot for those in Halifax.
On Monday, the hill was packed with community members sledding and building snowmen and a few were out early Tuesday morning as well.
Tomo, Lena, and Lynn took advantage of the fresh snow and all piling onto one sled and taking off down the hill, with their two dogs leading the pack.

Tomo says it was too cold Monday but Tuesday, the weather was perfect.
“It’s really beautiful,” says Tomo.
Lena says she spent her time off school reading a graphic novel but looks forward to going back.

Three other children were having a fun on their second day off.
Phoebe says she was having a blast ripping down the hill.
“I was so close to breaking a record.”
And Roman says his round blue sled is the best… because it spins on the way down, but he is not looking forward to going back to math class.
