A youth is facing multiple charges after being arrested in connection with two separate transit bus robberies.
RCMP say on January 15 they responded to a report of a young person being robbed by the youth suspect who had a weapon. The suspect demanded the victim’s jacket and left the bus.
Then two days later on another transit bus the suspect robbed the same victim again, but this time demanded their cell phone. With the help of another rider, the victim escaped uninjured.
The suspect was arrested January 23 while wearing the victim’s jacket. Police seized it and the weapon used in the robberies.
The youth will appear in court January 27.
