It was five years ago today that The Tragically Hip took the stage for the final time. The show was broadcast across the nation from the KRock Center in Kingston, Ontario.
Almost 12 million Canadians gathered to listen, and say good bye. The nation was saying good bye to more then a band, we knew we didn’t have Gord Downie for much longer, and we were losing a historian, humanitarian and champion of our country.
To say it was an emotional night would be an understatement.
