Police are searching for a missing canoeist in the Halifax area.
The Mounties say 51-year-old Stephen Whelan was last seen on Thursday in Meaghers Grant on Cole Road, which is in the Musquodoboit Valley region of HRM.
Investigators believe he went out on the water in his green canoe and may have been wearing his blue life jacket.

He’s described as 5’9″, 150 pounds, with light brown hair, blue eyes, and a goatee.
He has glasses and was last seen wearing green clothing and a grey/cream coloured Tilley hat.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
