Police flooded Cole Harbour on Wednesday due to a report of a gun in the area.
RCMP were called to Forrest Hills Parkway and Main Street at around 3 p.m.
Police surrounded a home to investigate, and traffic was detoured around the area.
A 40-year-old man was arrested without incident.
The Mounties say no one was hurt and add there is no threat to the public.
