As of Friday around 3pm, it looks like the mainland will be covered by a decent amount of snow on Sunday (Feb 9th):
My 10cm snow has shrunk to 5cm with slush overnight. Clouds break up to sun-cloud mix & winds pick up out of the NW. N NB stays below zero; S NB-PEI bounces around zero & NS stays mostly above zero til sunset. Need to clean up mess before freezing hard tonight. Atl coast NS has chance 10cm Sunday

The Windy.com radar shows the snow starting around 7AM for the city.
This comes after got a mix of snow and rain on Friday morning, which led to very slick streets in the city:
