It’s looking like we’re going to get a good serving of snow before Groundhog Day this weekend (Where Shubenacadie Sam will make the call about a long winter or early spring).
No weather alerts (As of 2:50pm from Environment Canada) are on for Halifax, but it looks like we could get around 20cm of snow collectively by the weekend:
Messy few days: a band of snow over NB is moving south today; mixing with rain at first in NS then icy as temps cool this eve. 1-4cm on avg; xcp 4-8cm Valley & parts N NS (heavier CB Highlands). Another snow system Wednesday: say 5-10cm NS. Snow tapers to flurries Thursday in a cold NW wind.
