Yesterday, Governor General Mary Simon made 88 new appointments to the Order of Canada, including one companion, 24 officers, and 63 members.

A couple of Maritimers made the list including Steve Murphy! Steve has been a fixture and legend in media across the Maritimes for more than four decades.
He stepped down from the news desk in 2021 but is still active in the community and still involved with Christmas Daddies and IWK telethons.
