The all-time hits leader in Major League Baseball has passed away.
According to TMZ, Pete Rose died on Monday afternoon.
The media outlet is reporting the news was confirmed by his agent.
Rose compiled 4,256 hits and it still stands as the most in MLB history.
He was never enshrined into the Hall of Fame due to links to gambling on baseball when he was managing the Cincinnati Reds.
Rose was 83.
