If you thought Weezer putting out two albums in 2021 was an accomplishment, Rivers Cuomo said hold my beer. During an interview on Good Morning America the frontman said they have four albums lined up for next year, and there is a theme.
Rivers stated “I guess I’ve had a lot of time on my hands so I wrote four albums that we’ll put out next year, It’s called Seasons, and each album comes out on the first day of the season. Spring is kind of like happy chill. And then we move through to dance rock, like a Strokes-style album for the fall, and then sad acoustic, Elliott Smith-style for winter.”
It shouldn’t be that big a surprise as the band has put out 15 albums since their debut “blue” album in 1994.
The band will hit the road this summer with Green Day and Fall Out Boy on the Hella Mega tour.
