2023 is coming to an end and for many Canadians, it’s been a hard one. Inflation, strikes, housing crisis and a health care system that is crumbling.
Despite all of this, 70% of Canadians said they were happy this year. Research firm, Angus Reid Institute surveyed Canadian adults to see not only how they rate this year but what word they would use to describe 2023.
The number 1 word was Grateful followed by exhausting, anxious, satisfying and frustrating.
Interestingly, Women of all ages were more likely to voice anxiousness this year compared to their male peers
