Foo Fighters have released a brand new single today called “Rescued.” The song is the first cut off their 11th album, But Here We Are.
Dave & Co. say the album is a “brutally honest and emotionally raw response to everything Foo Fighters endured over the last year.”
In a press release the band goes on to say, “But Here We Are is a testament to the healing powers of music, friendship and family. Courageous, damaged and unflinchingly authentic.”
The Bird and The Bee’s Greg Kurstin produced the record alongside the Foo Fighters. Kurstin has worked and written with some absolute icons in pop music like Adele and Kelly Clarkson, Halsey and Pink plus rock beasts Paul McCartney and Beck. He started working with Foo Fighters around 2017 and their album Concrete + Gold.
Foo Fighters are headlining festivals and concerts this year like Bonnaroo, Ohana, and Outside Lands. Closer to Halifax you might roadtrip to rage with the Foos in Boston at Boston Calling on May 26th, Festival d’été de Québec in Québec City on July 8th or in Ottawa at the Ottawa Bluesfest on July 12th.
