Since the launch of Surge 105, Jeff has been a part of the morning show. Along with Amy (and Sully for a bit) we’ve had a blast making radio for Halifax.
January 22nd 2023 Jeff was on his way down to San Diego and just when the plane landed, Jeff suffered a stroke. Luckily, his daughter was there and because of her quick thinking, he was taken immediately to the hospital and underwent surgery. Because of the quick response to his stroke, he’s expected to make a full recovery. If you missed it, this was Amy announcing what happened
We love Jeff and can’t wait for him to come back ❤️ #themorningsurge

Obviously, after you have a stroke, it’s important to take some time to recover and that’s what he’s been doing. After a couple of months doing the show alone, Amy is bored and needs a friend to chat with while Jeff is recouperating. She thought about Sully but didn’t want to pick him up every morning so she reached out to her friend Jeremy Baker.
Jeremy grew up in the wilds of suburban Vancouver. He’s made some rock and roll in Victoria and Vancouver. It is his life mission to broadcast in every Canadian port city so he is here for the summer, filling in for Jeff.
We’re so grateful for Jeremy stepping in while Jeff gets big and strong. Just to clarify, when Jeff is ready, he’ll be back on the show talking about his crappy Leafs and Yellowstone.
Until then, let’s give a big Surge welcome to Jeremy and tune in to The Morning Surge with Je (remy) ff and Amy 6-10
