With the announcement this week of the reunion of Blink 182 , I thought we’d take a peak at some 90s bands that are still kicking ass in 2022
Offspring
Still riding high off their 2021 release Let the Bad Times Roll The Offspring bring their act through town Halloween Night with Simple plan. The Offspring Scotiabank Centre – October 31, 2022 | TicketSales.com
Smashing Pumpkins
Slated to be on tour until well into 2022 The pumpkins will make an early Halloween visit to the Bell Centre in Montreal Oct 26
Blink 182
Witha new single out this morning called Edging the boys are heading back on the road starting in Marh. Unfortunately, zero Canadian dates but if you are up for the Road trip they do hit TD Garden in Boston May 21
Mathew Good
So amazing to see Mathew Good is still making the rounds in 2022. Sully had tickets all this week and one last pair today (Friday). You can check out Mathew Good Acoustic at the Marquee Saturday November 12th , but I would get them soon its selling fast!
Red Hot Chilli Peppers
After an enormous summer with multiple albums released and tour dates right across North America (including Toronto where some lucky Surge listeners had a chance to check them out), the Chillis take a few months off before they continue rocking into 2023 with a tour centered around New Zealand and Australia
Foo Fighters?
This is the biggest question mark when it comes to 90s band still rocking. Up until the passing of Taylor Hawkins they were everywhere. Now the question hangs in the air can the band go on without Taylor or do they reincarnate into something totally different. Good money says Dave Grohl will continue on , only time will tell if its solo or with the Foos.
Rage Against the Machine
How cool is it that Rage is still relevant and touring in 2022. The shows so far have been mind blowing and they still have a couple of more stops in Canada before its done with both Edmonton and Winnipeg ready to scream “FU I wont do what you tell me!”
If you love all these bands, luckily you can see most of them next year in Vegas!
