The storm will bring extreme rain and wind to our province tonight.
It’s expected to make landfall tomorrow around 9 a.m. near Cape Breton as a hurricane.
Hurricane warnings have been issued from Halifax to Cape Breton, with wind gusts expected to reach 150 kilometres an hour in some areas.
Rainfall totals in those areas could reach up to 200 millimetres tonight and tomorrow.
Storm surge could create ten metre high waves.
Western Nova Scotia is under a Tropical Storm warning, with 90 kilometre wind gusts and up to 60 millimetres of rain.
