A celebration is set to take place in Dartmouth for acclaimed battle rapper Pat Stay.
Seven pubs and restaurants are partnering to honour the 36-year-old on Sunday night. They include Whiskeys, Celtic Corner, New Scotland Brewing and others in the area.
Stay was murdered last weekend in a stabbing at a downtown Halifax bar. Drake, Classified and Eminem have all sent tributes to him and his family.
A fundraiser has collected almost $200,000 since his death.
Meantime, investigators are looking for a cellphone that may have been found after the homicide.
Police in Halifax believe it may have been picked up around Prince and Lower Water Street. It’s not clear if it is Stay’s cellphone they are looking for or another witness.
Anyone with information on Stay’s murder, the cellphone or video or pictures from the area is asked to contact police at 902-490-5020.
No arrests have been made in the case.
