The baseball community in Canada showed how supportive they can be over the weekend after an appeal was made by Sportsnets Jamie Campbell, who is a key member of the Blue Jays broadcast team.
Cambell shared the story of 12-year-old Satchell Tate who suffered a stroke last weekend while playing for the Hammonds Plains A’s in a baseball tournament in Bridgewater.

After speaking with the IWK and Tate’s parents who gave the greenlight Cambell asked baseball fans and players from across the country to send messages of support to Tate as begins his long road to recovery.
That tweet has since received over 1,000 likes and has been shared around 600 times. Baseball Canada was just one of many baseball organizations from around the country to join in and send messages of support.
