Halifax Regional Police have charged a man after an assault in Dartmouth on Monday morning.
Officers were called to Starr Park on Prince Albert Road at around 7 a.m.
A 65-year-old man who lives in the area confronted a 31-year-old man about a structure that had been illegally built in the park over the weekend.
“The 31-year-old man assaulted and threatened the victim who was transported to hospital for what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries,” a news release says.
Jamie Wayne Duckenfield is facing charges of assault causing bodily harm and threats to cause death.
