Police are looking for two women after they picked up groceries and then stole a cab.
They were picked up in Halifax and took a taxi to the Joe Howe Superstore. While one of them waited in the taxi, the other went in the store to pick up the groceries.
Police say when she came back, the women assault the driver and drove away in his cab.
The taxi’s GPS was located in the area of London and Connolly streets shortly after the incident. The taxi was located the next day on West Street in Halifax. It is described as a golden brown four-door Toyota Camry with a taxi roof light.
The first suspect is described as being in her late teens or early twenties with blonde hair and wearing a light grey coat and dark pants.
The second suspect is described as a woman in her fifties with a medium build and her hair in ponytail.
Investigators are asking anyone with information in relation to the incident or video of the area to call 902-490-5016.
