Damage is still being assessed after a commercial fire in Bedford, according to Halifax Fire.
In an interview with our newsroom late Sunday afternoon, they said one firefighter was sent to hospital with minor injuries but has since been released and the blaze was out.
Halifax Professional Fire Fighters said they received the call at around 8:30 a.m., for a fire at a business in a strip mall on Hogan Court.
In a post on social media the union said it is the equivalent of an “above third alarm in both personnel and apparatus” and conditions were challenging.
At about 11 a.m., the union said they are making “steady progress”.
“Coverage across the municipality is limited due to the significant resources committed to this incident,” says the union.
The exact business where the fire was is unclear, however, in a post on social media, Jet Legend Asian Fusion Buffett said they are closed due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
