The Premier is not backing down from his stance on illegal cannabis.
The government recently directed police to crack down on illegal shops.
Sipekne’katik Chief Michelle Glasgow called that a threat to their communities, and the council banned the premier from their lands.
Thursday morning, Tim Houston told reporters that some people in First Nations communities don’t want this.
“Nova Scotians are tired of it, and they want somebody to stand up against us, and we are the voice for those people who are afraid to stand up,” said Houston.
The RCMP says the directive will not change how they enforce legal cannabis sales.
