The Bedford community is mourning the death of Felix Perry, the Santa at Bedford Place Mall for many years.
In a post on social media the mall says they are “deeply saddened” to share the news of his passing and that he was a “cherished” part of the mall’s community.
“Most often you would find him here during the Christmas season, bringing warmth, joy, and a little extra magic to everyone who crossed his path. His kindness, laughter, and generous spirit touched so many of us – staff, tenants, and visitors alike,” reads the post.
“Felix will be greatly missed, but his memory will forever remain a special part of Bedford Place. Our hearts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
The post, put on Facebook Wednesday, has since been shared about 200 times with nearly 100 comments, with many community members sharing fond memories of the man who brought Christmas joy to their life.
