Two more Liberals have said they will not be putting their names forward to become leader of the federal party.
Innovation Minister François-Philippe Champagne and former B.C. premier Christy Clark made separate announcements on Tuesday.
They cited a lack of time for them to mount successful campaigns in their announcements.
Candidates will have to declare their intention to run by next Thursday for the March 9 vote.
Meanwhile, Government House Leader Karina Gould and former Bank of Canada governor Mark Carney are reportedly set to enter the race officially later this week.
Energy Minister Jonathan Wilkinson and former deputy prime minister Christya Freeland are also reported to be considering a run for the leadership.
Confirmed candidates to date include Nova Scotia MP Jaime Battiste, Ontario MP Chandra Arya and former Quebec MP Frank Baylis.
