A fourth person has been charged in the Devon Marsman homicide case.
Marsman went missing in Spryfield in February 2022.
In June of that year, police started treating the investigation as a suspicious disappearance.
The case was added to the province’s Major Crimes Rewards Program with $250,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
In late September, police believed they found remains belonging to Marsman
Chelsey Herritt, 26, turned herself in to police on Thursday night and was arrested.
She has since been charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder and committing indignity to human remains.
Herritt is scheduled to appear in court on Monday to face charges.
“The investigation is ongoing, and investigators have not ruled out the possibility of future arrests,” police said in a news release on Saturday.
Three more people have also been charged in connection with the homicide case.
Emma Maria Meta Casey, 23, faces charges including accessory after the fact to murder, indignity to human remains and obstructing justice.
Treyton Alexander Marsman, 26, is facing second-degree murder charges, indignation to human remains and obstructing justice.
A 20-year-old man is also facing obstructing justice charges as well as accessory after the fact. However, he was a youth at the time, so his name is under a publication ban.
A GoFundMe is circulating online for the family of Devon Marsman with a goal of $25,000. Nearly $14,000 has been raised to date.
