If you want to vote online or by phone for the municipal election, you will be able to, by 8 a.m., Tuesday morning.
HRM says you must use the unique personal ID number in your voter information letter.
If you did not receive your information letter, contact the voter helpline at 902-490-VOTE (8683) or toll-free at 1-844-301-8683.
Phone and online polls remain open until Wednesday, Oct. 16.
There will be two other opportunities to vote in the 2024 Municipal Election:
- Advance voting: vote in-person on advance voting days – Saturday, Oct. 12 and Tuesday, Oct. 15.
- Election day voting: vote in-person on election day – Saturday, Oct. 19.
You will have the opportunity to vote for up to three separate electoral races:
- Mayor: vote for one mayoral candidate. There are 16 mayoral candidates.
- Councillor: vote for one councillor candidate for their electoral district. There are 63 councillor candidates in the municipality’s 16 electoral districts. Find your electoral district here.
- Conseil scolaire acadien provincial representative (CSAP): vote for two CSAP representatives. You must meet the criteria of “Entitied Parent” or an “Entitled Person” as defined in the Education Act. There are four CSAP candidates running for two positions.
