Candace Thomas resigned from her role as Deputy Justice Minister on Monday to start a new role at Nova Scotia Health.
She’ll be their vice president and top lawyer as of July 8th, according to an announcement from the premier’s office.
Karen Gatien, Minister of Natural Resources and Renewables, will take over as Executive Deputy Minister. She’ll keep the responsibilities of her other role as well.
“Karen has stepped up time and time again and has demonstrated excellent leadership on complex files such as wind and green hydrogen development and meeting our energy goals,” said Premier Houston. “I’m pleased to welcome her to the Executive Deputy Minister Team.”
Jennifer Glennie will be the Deputy Minister of Justice. She formerly worked as The Associate Deputy Minister of the Executive Council Office.
Tracey Thomas will take over the role of Deputy Minister of the Office of Equity and Anti-Racism. She’ll continue working as the Deputy Minister of African Nova Scotian Affairs.
