That Quaker brand granola bar you brought to work today could be affected by a recall.
Nearly 40 bar flavours and cereal are affected due to possible salmonella contamination.
Flavours include cookies and cream, peanut butter, smores, fruit crumble, rocky road, and rainbow chip. Cap n’ Crunch berry treat bars and Harvest Crunch granola cereal is also on the list.
Health Canada says you’re looking for an expiry date ranging between January and October of this year.
If you have one of the products on the list, throw it out or return it to the store where it was purchased for a refund.
There have been no reported illnesses reported in Canada to date as a result of these products being eaten.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.
Symptoms of Salmonellosis usually start within six to 72 hours after exposure. They include:
- chills
- a fever
- nausea
- diarrhea
- vomiting
- stomach cramps
- a sudden headache
Most symptoms end within four to seven days.
Health Canada says while most people recover completely on their own, some people may have a more serious illness that:
- requires hospital care
- may lead to long-lasting health effects or death
