Much Music was a Canadian staple and for many Canadian kids, the place we got our music. From Electric Circus, I&I, Loud, Rap City to Ed The Sock’s Fromage; This was the only channel we had on. It was basically our babysitter. Gen Z.. let me set the mood. Once upon a time we watched music videos like you watch Tik Tok and instead of influencers, we had VJs (Video Jockeys)
We didn’t have social media to see what our favourite artists were up to, they stopped at MM and we watched that way. It was such a special time, they’ve made a documentary about the experience. It’s called 299 Queen Street West
