Imagine this! You pay tons of money to go to the Glastonbury Music Festival. Your favourite artist is supposed to hit the stage but they’re late. That’s what happened to Lana Del Rey fans. She was 30 minutes late for her set because… her hair took so long to do. Yup! If you’ve been to a festival you know everything is timed so her set was cut short.
When she walked onto the stage, she addressed her tardiness to the crowd. “I was so f—ing late that I am about to rush this set to death,” “If they cut power, I’m super f—ing sorry, my hair takes so long to do. Let’s keep on running the set as it’s supposed to go. Reminder, she was performing for over 200, 000 people!
At one point during the performance when Lana was sitting down and singing her song “Bartender,” her hairdresser came out on stage to put the finishing touches on her ‘do
After they did indeed cut the power before the end of her set, an apologetic Lana mouthed to the crowd, “Can we sing to you ‘Video Games’ together?” and then proceeded to deliver an acapella rendition of her beloved song without a microphone. She was then escorted off stage by security.
While we’re on the topic of Lana Del Rey, this song seems appropriate for the “summer” we’ve been having so we dedicate it to Halifax!
