There have been a bunch of stories about deep fakes and AI generated art. Someone who recently won a photography contest declined the prize because the picture was not an authentic photograph but an artificial intelligence generated piece. Spotify had to yank a viral “Drake and Weeknd” tune that turned out to be a deep fake.
But not everyone hates AI music. Count Oasis’ Liam Gallagher a fan. British group Breezer recently had AI jam out a concept of a classic mid-90s Oasis record. They called it AIsis: The Lost Tapes Volume 1. In a Guardian story the members describe the project as “an alternate reality concept album where the band’s 95-97 line-up continued to write music, or perhaps all got together years later to write a record akin to the first 3 albums.”
OK, sounds neat. But what did professional curmudgeon Liam Gallagher think of the sounds? Some folks asked him on twitter and he had some positive thoughts on the concept, “Not the album heard a tune it’s better than all the other snizzle out there.” And this bon mot, “Mad as f*** I sound mega.”

The style of the music all features big anthemic Liam style songs. But no Noel on vocals. That was by design as Breeze says that Liam is the singer of Oasis with Jon Claire adding, “it’s the Liam songs everyone loves. They’re the anthems. I think it’s quite obvious we’re Camp Liam here.”
It does sounds massive. Not perfect, but pretty good. What do you think?
